JOB TITLE: Aftermarket Engineer Commissioning DIVISION: GAP (Gas and Process) REPORTING TO: Team Leader Aftermarket LOCATION: Busan Plant [Mission] In this challenging position it will be your mission to support/execute timely and in-quality installation and commissioning including cold gas test of screw and turbo type compressor packages. You will closely collaborate with the local project team, their on-site coordinator and for sure our customer as well as the ship owner. You will be the first level of support for our customers during the startup phase and – with your expertise – support continuous product improvement. You will report to the service operation team leader. [Key Responsibilities] You will support the installation of the delivered compressors to achieve optimal performance and efficiency. You will start up our compressors including running diagnostic testing together with the customer team. You will execute and support the cold gas test of the installed machines and such their integration into the on board processes. You will attend customer meetings, plan daily activities with onsite labor and call out utilities and equipment required to meet the project schedule. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve machinery issues directly at the customer's location. Hands on job to carry out field repair and maintenance of the compressors to resolve site issue. Customer Service: Ensure clear and efficient communication with the client while following safety protocols throughout all commissioning stages. Be able to train customers. You will prepare daily project activity and technical reports and communicate closely with the project manager and the on-site coordinator of the PC in Busan. Participate in de-briefing to assure communication of improvement issues back to engineering and production, frequently participate in design review meetings. Maintain proper business travel practices in a safe and cost-efficient manner. Follow all company and departmental procedures and guidelines. Perform other duties as required. [Experience and knowledge] Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical or automation/electrical engineering or comparable. Technical knowledge about turbo and/or screw compressor packages (rotating machinery) and related auxiliary equipment like heat exchanger, drives, controls, … Dedicated knowledge about control systems and programming of PLC’s. Having experience in marine environment, especially in LNG, is a strong surplus. Previous field service experience. Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken; Korean language is your mother tongue. Confident handling of MS O365, ERP system (SAP is a surplus) and our PLM systems. [Personality requirements] High communicative skills in dealing with customers, internal interfaces, and also suppliers.
