Position Summary Operate and maintain diving equipment in accordance with IMCA guidance and Classification Society Rules under direction of Diving Equipment Manager. Responsible to ensure that all dive equipment in the yard planned maintenance and certification is maintained up to date and is in keeping with statutory rules and regulations. Responsible for ensuring that all maintenance/repairs are carried out in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company procedures. To have proven trouble shooting capabilities in multiple systems. To assist and mentor Dive Technicians working towards goal of Senior position. Duties & Responsibilities ESSENTIAL Manages the offshore diving personnel working in the yard, conducts Safety Meetings, and approves JSEAs and Permits to Work. Reports directly to the Diving Equipment Manager on all issues related to the diving yard, diving equipment, and diving equipment personnel. Maintains and repairs all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and ancillary equipment associated with Surface Diving activities. Works closely with the Equipment Manager on the Mobilization/De-mobilization of all Diving Equipment. May supervise crews in yard for maintenance of equipment including subcontract electricians, mechanics, or construction personnel. Coordinates daily maintenance in accordance with TM Master/IMCA. Ensures no system modifications occur without Management/MOC approval. Keeps operating procedures current with equipment utilized. Maintains Divers Helmets and Secondary Life Support Systems. Execution of any unplanned and repair maintenance as soon as practicably possible in a safe and efficient manner, or as instructed by Diving Equipment Manager. Ensure that all equipment is operated safely and in accordance with Oceaneering Dive System Manuals, and manufacturers guidelines. Is available for on-call rotation and emergency callouts. Interacts with vendors to ensure understanding of Company needs. Promotes and follows Oceaneering's Safety policy. Performs other tasks as assigned by management. Qualifications REQUIRED 5 years of related field experience within the diving services industry involving commercial diving focused on oil & gas projects or equivalent combination of education and experience. Qualified crane and forklift operator. PREFERRED High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED). KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS Knowledge of appropriate steps to analytical problem solving. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. Additional Information WORKING CONDITIONS This position is considered SHOP/INDOORS WORK which is characterized as follows. Primarily indoors during the day and occasionally at night. Frequently working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment. When outdoors, humidity is frequently above 90%. Noise is over 85 decibels. Light is intense/glare. Occasional exposure to open fire/flames/sparks. Frequent exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases.
