Job Summary Conduct electrical testing and functional verification of standard as well as custom-built power conversion products/assemblies which include AC and DC Low Voltage Drives, Inverters for Battery Energy Storage & EV charging, Medium Voltage Drives, PLC's, and HMI's for both industrial and renewable energy applications. Perform troubleshooting to the component level as necessary and conduct repairs of power conversion products/assemblies to support the production and RMA processes. Job Description Physical inspection/verification of electrical assemblies. Determination and identification of necessary equipment, interconnection wiring, motors, and/or testing fixtures to effectively test power conversion products/assemblies. Pre-power testing, adjustments, and rating verification of components in an electrical assembly. Downloading software/programs to power conversion products, PLC's and HMI's. Functional testing including simulation of external devices, troubleshooting, correction of malfunctions, factory acceptance and witness testing. Test documentation, post-test breakdown, and repair coordination. Repairs of power conversion products/assemblies, including root cause analysis and correction. Creation and/or modification of test procedures/specifications. Construction of test fixtures as needed and implementation of methods to improve efficiency of electrical testing. Identification and elevation of opportunities for process improvements. Maintain working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner. Additional Job Details Two-year associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Technology, Military Technical Training Program, or related field. Experience Requirements 3 years' experience working as electronics technician in a manufacturing environment a plus but not required. Experience using electronic test equipment such as DMM's, Signal generators, Oscilloscopes. Knowledge of analog and digital circuits, AC/DC drives, AC/DC Motor Theory, PLC, and HMI's. Ability to troubleshoot electronics to the component level. Ability to use hand and/or power tools. Ability to read Electrical Drawings/Schematics. Competent in Microsoft Office software programs.
