We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Director of Sales to drive revenue growth in the western region of the US and Canada in the rapidly evolving climate technology space. In this senior sales leadership role, you will oversee all sales strategies and initiatives, while collaborating closely with other functional areas such as marketing, product development, and customer operations. The Senior Director of Sales will be responsible for delivering on our sales objectives and take ownership of an annual sales target. Job Responsibilities include: Sales Strategy & Delivery: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives, including targeting buyers of our unique, distributed carbon capture technology and solution Cultivate and implement innovative sales tactics that accelerate customer acquisition, improve retention rates, and expand the business in both existing and new markets. Establish sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics to ensure the consistent delivery of results. Develop a comprehensive funnel of opportunities, qualifying and driving opportunities through the funnel to deliver against sales objectives supporting the company’s booking and revenue objectives. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the product and marketing teams to ensure product offerings align with customer needs and market demand. Collaborate with the customer operations team to ensure seamless post-sale engagement and maximize customer satisfaction, renewals, and upsell opportunities. Partner with the leadership team to develop go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and sales enablement tools to enhance effectiveness. Sales Process Optimization & Reporting: Optimize sales processes, CRM systems, and tools to improve efficiency, track performance, and ensure data-driven decision-making. Regularly report on sales performance, market trends, customer feedback, and revenue forecasts to executive leadership. Ensure adherence to sales best practices and legal/regulatory requirements, particularly in the climate and clean tech sectors. Qualifications / Skills: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred. Experience: 10 years of proven experience in sales leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior sales management or director role in the carbon capture, climate technology, clean tech, renewable energy, or sustainability sectors. Deep understanding of climate technology solutions, market dynamics, customer needs, and key industry players. Proven track record in driving revenue growth, market expansion, and complex sales cycles involving enterprise customers, government contracts, and large-scale projects. Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage C-suite executives and influence decision-making. Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions. Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement tools.
