This is a position with grade 15, reporting to the Regional Service Manager - Western US. Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB quality and safety guidelines. Each day, you will deliver quality customer service planning and execute service work as per customer order and expectation. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring customer retention by effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations. The work model for the role is: Remote. This role contributes to the Process Automation Energy Industries division. You will be mainly accountable for: Working with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer's operations and eliminate pain points. Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which you are certified to perform. Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities. Acting as trainer when needed, for field service associates and customers. Qualifications for the role Associate's Degree Desired or comparable military technical training and minimum 5 years of relevant experience or a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments will be considered. A good working knowledge of Microsoft, networking, cyber security, and ABB Symphony Plus Distributed Control System is a plus. NOTE: Formal training, on-the-job training, and mentorship will be provided to instill confidence in providing outstanding field service support. Self-motivated and self-directed to accommodate numerous customer responsibilities. Must be willing to maintain overnight travel of 80%. Process automation work experience. Understanding of systems maintenance, configuration, and process control is ideal. Applicants must speak fluent English and have a legal driver's license. Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
