The VDC Manager is responsible for managing and collaborating with the project team on all VDC and BIM modeling. They will work collectively with the project team, subcontractors, and other personnel to find solutions to design issues and constructability challenges. This person will have comprehensive knowledge of the schedule execution for their assigned project(s) including where they are in the project and modeling for future scopes while adhering to Webcor's quality standards and client's satisfactions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support and manage the project team to find solutions to design issues and constructability challenges. Collaborate with other Trade Coordinators and other VDC Project Managers to resolve technical VDC issues, and reach out to internal departments, vendors or other resources if necessary. Manage and publish the VDC coordination schedule on a regular basis. Create baseline coordination schedule with the Trade Coordinator's assistance and track coordination progress. Monitor and sustain companywide VDC standards by leading Operational VDC best practices specific to 2D/3D Coordination. Oversee collaboration with Back Office and ensure invoices are being reviewed and processed by the individual projects to avoid delay in wire payment. Ensure that the project team understands the Specifications of the Prime Contract that relates to their VDC specific responsibilities and enforces Contract requirements. Document and report Coordination issues with the 3D models and/or Contract Documents. Ensure QA/QC of Coordination models are being performed continuously throughout the Coordination process. Provide a review and feedback on the projects Buyout schedule to ensure Webcor is scheduling the Subcontractors on time and eliminating risk in the Coordination process. Prepare and monitor pricing for Back Office deliverables such as Clash Detection, Bluebeam Comparison, Document Control and Gap Modeling. Ensure all Submittals and Reference documents generated internally are reported in a systematic and traceable manner. Mitigate risk on behalf of Webcor. Other tasks and projects as assigned. TECHNICAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED High level of competency with BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360 Glue and other Autodesk products and applicable techniques. Working knowledge of cost control, budgeting, contracts, billing, and forecasting. Strong ability to plan, problem solve, and troubleshoot with multi-disciplinary teams. Meticulous attention to detail and a high standard of quality. Stay current with new technologies; VDC software, integration and other applicable practices. Solid communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to successfully lead and manage direct reports. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE A bachelor's degree (preferably in Construction Management, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture) or equivalent experience. Five plus years of BIM/VDC experience in construction projects involving preconstruction or construction operations, to include two to three years as a Trade Coordinator, Assistant Superintendent or Assistant Project Manager.
