The Electrical Engineering Department Manager is responsible for the administrative and technical management of the Electrical Engineering & Design Department. They are responsible for the integrity of the electrical engineering work produced, identifying performance gaps and correcting them, including systems, equipment, and people resources. Provides leadership and instruction to their employees, ensuring work is coordinated between other disciplines, offices, fabrication, and construction to meet project requirements. Maintains and promotes a focus on the end product, whether engineering, fabrication, or construction, and ensures effective management of change while assuming responsibility for cost, schedule, quantity, and budget control. As the Electrical Engineering Department Manager, here's the work you'll do: Manage the resources of the department as they relate to projects, including staffing, tools, project deliverables, and estimates. Assure that the technical quality of the department's work meets the required professional engineering standards according to the company, client, and national standards. Maximize utilization of personnel by planning and staffing work. Development of talent and departmental training. Supervision and performance appraisal, including salary administration. Responsible for the discipline cost and schedule commitments on individual projects. This role is for you if you have these skills: Experience in effective project execution and project procedures with the ability to supervise and lead engineering resources and the completion of projects. Strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects. Exhibits both technical breadth and depth of subject engineering curriculum, demonstrating a broad technical knowledge of electrical engineering and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical solutions and concepts to engineers and non-engineers. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite of applications, with the ability to quickly learn and use other software packages. Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, ETAP, SKM, and Visual is desirable. And if you have these qualifications: BS degree in Electrical Engineering required from an ABET accredited college/university. 15 years experience in EPCm industry or with an operating company directly related to the chemical process industry, including but not limited to Chemical, Petrochemical, Chemical Intermediates, or Fibers Industries. 3 years work experience in secondary industries such as Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, or Advanced Manufacturing is desirable. Experience in Solar and Renewable Energy is desirable. PE required. In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $136,400 - $204,600.
