Has no high school diploma or GED. Has a history of involvement with the criminal justice system. Is experiencing protracted unemployment (receiving unemployment benefits for at least 6 months). Is a current recipient of government cash or food assistance benefits. Is homeless or has been homeless within the last year. Is a custodial single parent. Is a former foster youth. Is a veteran, or is the eligible spouse of a veteran of the United States Armed Forces, under Section 2(a) of the Jobs for Veterans Act (38 U.S.C.4215[a]). General Laborer RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform various manual labor tasks, including but not limited to digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials. Assist with the setup and dismantling of equipment and structures as needed. Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently. Follow instructions and guidelines to complete assigned tasks within designated time frames. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Assist with loading and unloading materials, supplies, and equipment from trucks and delivery vehicles. Assist skilled workers, such as carpenters, electricians, or plumbers, by providing support and carrying out basic tasks as directed. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols. Report any safety concerns, accidents, or incidents to the supervisor immediately. REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a General Laborer or similar role is preferred. Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly. Proficient in using basic hand and power tools. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors. Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures and regulations. Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments. Punctuality and reliability in meeting work schedules. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
