Electrical Service Engineer $2,500 Sign-on Bonus (Payable after 90 days of employment) Company: Magnetech Industrial Services Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: General Manager Location: Massillon, OH Primary Responsibility: Responsible for providing technical service and support both in the manufacturing shop and in the field. Examples include large project supervision, electrical testing, installation, start-up, service, repairs to electro-mechanical apparatus, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities / Duties: Successful completion of shop and field assignments. Partner with personnel to analyze scope of work requirements, current operational procedures, identify problems, and continuous improvement. Trained and demonstrated expertise in testing of electric motors, generators, and transformers. Switch gear maintenance and repair. Transformer maintenance and repair. Interact with customers to help diagnose apparatus problems/issues. Generate a report to describe the labor that was completed. Provide technical support to customers and field personnel as necessary. Assist in preparation of quotations and/or special projects as required. Travel to customer locations when necessary. Serve as a mentor to all field personnel regarding general activities or specialized skill sets, as well as assisting in resolution of work problems related to project specifications. Advocate and follow all quality, safety, and environmental procedures and report any noncompliance. Maintain a professional attitude when representing the company during phone or personal contact with customers, outside vendors, and/or service providers. Document/report all customer complaints to the quality department and make every effort to resolve the complaint immediately. Provide support for any special projects as assigned by the General Manager. Measures of Success: Service efficiencies, i.e., low rework and warranty costs, manpower utilization, control of expenses, etc. Projects and service calls adequately meet or exceed customer expectations. On-time completion of project(s), service calls, and service reports. Preferred Position Qualifications: Hands-on experience in medium to large service projects for periodic and major maintenance of electro-mechanical apparatus and turn-key overhauls. In-depth knowledge of an area of expertise and field service experience. Computer skills in Excel and Word. Excellent customer service interface experience. Hardworking, detail-oriented, and thorough. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated team skills. Required Qualifications: High school diploma. Specific Qualifications: Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen, and when applicable, if duties involve operating a motor vehicle, must be able to pass motor vehicle record check.
