In addition, be a driving force for cost reduction opportunities for existing production applications and new features for current range of products. Roles and Responsibilities Product Maintenance and Engineering - Prepare and initiate Design Notifications (DN's) for existing production products for the Power and Light/Flow (PAL/PAF) Division of Power Technique. Initiate and/or revise drawings as required per Design Notifications. Provide continuing technical support for the assembly/production and quality processes including troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Also provide technical support for Sales, Marketing and Service operations relevant to existing products. Coordinate the sustaining meeting (weekly) with Sales, Production, Marketing and Service to guarantee the process and effectiveness of DNs. Cost Reduction Opportunities - Evaluate current production products for cost reduction opportunities. Define and prioritize with Purchasing these cost reduction opportunities and act as the Engineering Team leader in these endeavors. Qualifications Supervisory Responsibility- None Experience 1-2 years as an Engineer in construction equipment product development preferred but not required. Familiarity with 3D modelling and Bills of Material. Prior experience working with Portable Energy equipment is a definite plus. Education Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering. Skills Good command of English is required. Other languages are a plus. Good command of a 3-D CAD software is required. Other software skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) are required. Committed to accuracy and detail. Must have a proven track record of positive results.
