You will serve as an INTERDISCIPLINARY NATURAL RESOURCE SPECIALIST/ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER/PHYSICAL SCIENTIST (Air Compliance Program Manager) in the Environmental Business Line of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH. This position has a selective placement factor for the 0819, which is: You must currently be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) if applying for the 0819 series. Your license must be held in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. NOTE: You must submit a copy of registration with your application to be considered for this position. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing permits and compliance plans associated with air regulations and permits to ensure installation environmental compliance; Reviewing construction projects, plans and designs for compliance with installation air permits and environmental regulations such as the Clean Air Act; Serving as a subject matter expert on environmental laws and regulations pertinent to air and installation permits; Resolving technical problems related to air projects.
