Job Description To manage, direct, and coordinate all functions of the Housekeeping and Laundry departments while maintaining impeccable levels of cleanliness and upkeep and ensuring cost controls are in place. Responsibilities Maintain standards of cleanliness and a consistent guest experience as documented by Guest Index, Nobey, AAA, and Inn-keeping ratings. Ensure a smooth, efficient, and economic operation in the Housekeeping and Laundry departments, specifying and purchasing supplies, and recording all data. Effectively monitor the preventative maintenance program throughout the hotel. Maintain a highly motivated and trained staff that continually strives for excellence in service and cleanliness. Monitor and control all labor costs for Housekeeping and Laundry departments, achieving targeted payroll. Maintain Housekeeping turnover to an acceptable level. Coordinate and communicate closely with the front office to ensure rooms are available for sale and with Engineering to ensure guest room and public areas are at peak operative levels. Directly control the issuance and retrieval of associate uniforms and administer the Lost and Found department, ensuring all Omni Hotel standards are met or exceeded. Monitor all guest requests to ensure they are met within prescribed time limits. Inspect and tour all public areas several times daily and inspect all VIP rooms daily. Monitor guest complaints and take corrective action when necessary. Maintain and administer quarterly linen inventories and responsible for action plans to address shrinkage. Assist with the budget process as required by the Director of Rooms. Develop master cleaning schedules and administer accordingly. Monitor all Housekeeping inventories to ensure adequate supplies are always available and complete analysis of amenity consumption. Maintain accurate payroll information for the Housekeeping and Laundry department. Ensure that all Systems and Controls, Loss Prevention, and Energy Conservation guidelines are in line. Qualifications Previous Housekeeping and Management experience preferred. Bachelor's Degree. Must speak the primary language spoken in the workplace (English/Spanish).
