Location of Associate Sales Manager: Denver, CO Assist the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) within the territory to promote sales of Tarkett Sports products and provide clients with the necessary information and tools to make wise decisions in designing, purchasing, and the installation of Renner Tennis products. The process begins with the initial contact with the clients and continues through purchasing, installation, completion, and follow-up with service after the sale. This position also requires: Seeking and tracking potential sales leads in athletic surfacing areas such as schools, colleges, and sports arenas. Strong relationship and network building skills. Establish and present sales presentations. Meet and confer with architects, engineers, and consultants concerning the planning of future projects. Trade show attendance. Complete necessary clerical duties including Salesforce.com. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Perform essential functions under limited supervision of assigned Regional Sales Manager with significant decision-making. Responsible for assisting the local RSM with day-to-day operations to include: Revenue generation through tennis court facility construction, leveraging our resources and expertise to provide the best delivery method for our clients including full General contracting, Design/Build, or Subcontract. Develop relationships and inform key industry professionals about the Tarkett Sports product suite. Potential targets include key personnel of schools, universities, parks, and municipalities, as well as architectural & engineering firms. Build strong, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within the accounts and region. Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager and the internal support team to learn the inner workings of coordinating project deliverables to include budgets, proposals, RFPs, and customer service. Shadow the Regional Sales Manager to learn best practices in the region for skills including presentation of products to potential clients, including a review of existing facilities, conceptual facility designs, sample material, and literature. Recommend the use of our product specifications in the bid documents. Arrange and manage site visits to current facilities. Evaluation, strategy planning, and execution. Follow the sale through the production cycle to ensure total customer satisfaction. This includes pre-installation visits, site visits during the installation of material, and walk-through after installation if necessary. Learn how to use internal CRM systems to update Salesforce.com with all potential leads, opportunities, and results daily, as well as provide weekly feedback to the Regional Sales Manager. A key component of the role is attending trade shows to market our products to specific track audiences. Follow up on leads derived from trade shows in a timely manner. Maintain personal contact with potential customers, current customers, and past customers to maintain positive customer satisfaction. Traveling is required – up to 50% of the time during certain months of the year. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or University; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
