As a Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer , you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the installation of mechanical systems, including HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems for healthcare, commercial and government projects. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop mechanical systems for commercial, residential, and industrial buildings, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other systems. Prepare detailed mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar). Perform system load calculations, equipment selection, and sizing to meet project requirements and ensure energy efficiency. Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to ensure the integration of mechanical systems into overall building designs. Conduct site inspections to monitor the progress of mechanical system installations, ensuring compliance with design specifications, codes, and safety standards. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during system installation, commissioning, and operation. Ensure that all mechanical systems are designed and installed in compliance with relevant local and national standards (e.g., ASHRAE, BS EN, LEED). Prepare and review project reports, technical assessments, and progress updates for clients and project stakeholders. Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, schedules, and tender documentation for mechanical systems. Mentor and provide support to junior engineers and technicians, helping them develop their technical skills and knowledge. Stay updated on the latest industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in mechanical engineering. Key Requirements: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, or similar systems. Proficiency in mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, energy efficiency, and sustainability practices. In-depth knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, BS EN, LEED). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems. Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, project teams, and contractors. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work to meet project deadlines. A proactive approach to work, with a focus on quality and efficiency. Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) for mechanical systems design. Familiarity with sustainable design principles, energy-efficient technologies, and green building certifications (e.g., LEED, BREEAM). Knowledge of renewable energy systems (e.g., heat pumps, solar thermal, or geothermal). Experience with the design of integrated building systems and smart building technologies. Membership or certification with a professional body (e.g., CIBSE, ASHRAE, IMechE). Project management experience or familiarity with managing mechanical systems design projects. J-18808-Ljbffr
