Imagine starting each day with a genuine eagerness to collaborate and contribute within a stimulating professional environment A TYPICAL WEEK MIGHT INCLUDE Our hydrology and hydraulics teamwork internally with LJA project managers in our Land Development group to provide various drainage analyses and design support to our land development clients. The H&H group creates drainage studies in support of design for our diverse client base that incorporates their specific needs while providing the added benefits of optimized conservation, amenities, and effective land development plans. Responsible for analyzing specific system components for the overall drainage design effort. Performs hydraulic calculations, and coordinates with technical support or Land Development personnel under the H&H Project Manager’s supervision. Modifies existing models as directed by an experienced engineer. Expanding your engineering toolbox and vocabulary to add knowledge of advanced techniques, applied theory, industry concepts, and best practices. Assignments require the investigation of a limited number of variables; supervisory assistance is provided on unusual problems and possible solutions. Working in an office equipped with meeting rooms, amenities, and excellent technology. Able to utilize “Help” functions and manuals for the software and find answers to basic modeling questions. Prepare draft memorandums and reports from templates or prior reports. Check-ins with your manager and other engineering mentors to identify areas of excellence and growth opportunities. “MUST HAVE” QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor of Science Degree from an ABET accredited university (Civil or Environmental Engineering Preferred). BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D. Previous work experience in the engineering industry. Experience with Bluebeam and Water Resources Software (HEC-RAS & HEC-HMS).
