Job Description – Project Controller, Melink Solar Job Summary: Melink Solar, a leading commercial solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) company specializing in designing and building solar arrays, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Controller to join our growing team. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to oversee financial management and control activities across our expanding portfolio of solar installations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the financial success and operational efficiency of our projects, working closely with several internal and external stakeholders to optimize project financial performance. This role reports to the Melink Solar CFO. Duties/Responsibilities: Collaborate with project managers and other internal stakeholders to develop project budgets and forecasts. Monitor project financial performance and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Report on project budget to actual for revenues, expenses, including equipment, materials, and labor costs. Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations to improve cost efficiency. Prepare and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements and cash flow projections. Assist in contract management and review financial terms to ensure compliance. Coordinate with procurement and accounting departments to ensure timely payment and invoicing. Support project teams in financial decision-making by providing accurate and timely financial information. Maintain project documentation and financial records in compliance with company policies and procedures. Participate in project meetings and provide insights on financial implications of project decisions. Make sound business decisions to deliver customer satisfaction and promote team environment. Meet all timelines/deadlines. Assist with special projects as requested and perform additional duties as required. Required Skills/Abilities: Proven experience as a Project Controller or similar role in the construction or renewable energy industry, with specific experience in solar projects preferred. Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence, manage complex projects, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and strong organizational and administrative ability. Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, frequent changes, delays or unexpected events. Ability to work as a team member and function independently with minimal supervision. Be able to write up detailed work instructions and maintain a Job Reference Manual for all areas of responsibility. Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field. Advanced degree preferred. Four to six years of relevant experience. Experience in ERP systems (Sage Intacct is a plus). Experienced dealing with construction subcontracts and subcontractors. Superior knowledge and skills in MS Excel, MS Word and Smartsheet. Physical Requirements: Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers. J-18808-Ljbffr
