We are hiring in Columbus, OH and are looking for a Petroleum Engineer to join our team. This is a hybrid position that will require on onsite presence in the Columbus office on a weekly basis. A Petroleum Engineer I typically supports the project management team on Storage Integrity Management Program (SIMP) maintenance and field optimization that includes supporting workover planning and execution, well integrity assessments, well repair, and plug & abandonment operations for gas storage fields. Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications for this role:
- Data Collection and Records Management
- Review Daily Progress Reports (DPRs)
- Compile and Track Material Testing Reports (MTRs)
- Create Well Reports
- Project Assistance
- Develop Well Work Procedures and Review with Sr. Engineer or Project Manager (Workovers, Integrity Assessment, Plug & Abandon)
- Assist with Vendor Request for Proposal and Vendor Selection
- Assist with Vendor Scheduling and Monitor Job Execution
- Regulatory Support
- Basic Understanding of State and Federal Regulatory Compliance with Willingness to Learn
- Support Communication with Regulatory Agencies
- Assist with the Creation and Submission of Regulatory Plug & Abandonment Plans for Approval
- Track and Distribute Approved Plans for Field Use, Ensure Regulatory Compliance
Qualifications:- A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Basic understanding of reservoir/production engineering principles.
- Strong writing and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
