For 75 years Rice Lake Weighing Systems has been a successful, growth-oriented company known as a leader in the weighing industry and our community. We are seeking a Woodworker to join our Woodshop/Logistics team.

This woodworker would work as a Pallet/Box Maker and is responsible for the fabrication of customized wood pallets, crates and boxes to be used for shipping various product or parts. This position must read and understand the blueprints for each item, cut lumber to order specifications, and assemble the structure. Equipment used in this position includes an up-cut saw, table saw, panel saw, chop saw, an air nail gun and various other pneumatic tools, as well as basic hand tools. Woodshop employees must ensure all work is completed in a safe and professional manner. This employee will assist other shipping/receiving personnel and perform other duties as assigned.

This is a Regular Full-Time position and will work 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday - Friday.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent
Some carpentry or woodworking experience preferred

Skills

Some basic computer knowledge including use of e-mail
Experience using saws, pneumatic and basic hand tools
Ability to read a tape measure
Good blueprint reading skills
Basic assembly and spatial reasoning skills
Excellent verbal communication skills

Certificates, licenses, training, or other job-related requirements

No current restrictions prohibiting regular lifting up to 50 pounds
No current restrictions prohibiting infrequent lifting up to 100 pounds
