We are seeking a Principal Water Resource Engineer.
Description of Responsibilities: - Execution and technical oversight of the mine water management team in assessing water, mine water, water supply and demand, geochemical load, and other water related components of mine infrastructure projects
- Project management of technical deliverables, budgets, and schedules
- Assist with mine water management predictions and design of water quantities and quality using GoldSim dynamic and probabilistic simulation software
- Preparation and review of supporting engineering calculations, models, methods, and results
- Interface with clients and complete site visits / inspections as necessary
- Active engagement in development and/or advancement of SRK`s Mine water management practice
- Active engagement and responsibility for business development
- Active engagement in mentorship of junior staff
- Other duties as required
Essential Requirements: - A bachelor`s degree in Civil or Mining Engineering or a related field
- 12 years` experience in the mining industry; professional consulting services preferred
- Ability and desire to collaborate with other technical specialists in hydrology, hydraulics, mining, geochemistry, geotechnics, groundwater and environmental disciplines in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong inter-personal communication and writing skills
- Proficiency in geochemical, hydrological, hydraulic, and civil engineering design software and methodologies
$140,000-$175,000 USD per annum
