Key Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, determine root causes, and establish preventive measures.
- Deliver effective EHS training programs for employees and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with operations and project managers to integrate EHS considerations into planning and execution.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and internal safety standards.
- Promote a safety-first culture across the organization.
- Manage hazardous waste disposal and pollution control initiatives.
- Act as the main point of contact for regulatory agencies.
Key Qualifications:- Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety or related disciplines (e.g., Diploma, Undergraduate, or Postgraduate Degree).
- Professional experience in health and safety management, preferably within the construction or building industry.
- Relevant certifications in First Aid and Incident Investigation (or willingness to obtain).
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret data, laws, and regulations.
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Effective communication and relationship-building abilities to influence outcomes.
