DNV - Energy Systems is seeking a
Solar / Energy Storage Intern to join its Solar Finance and Technology Department or Energy and Emerging Technology Department. These teams specialize in supporting analysis and engineering related to solar and energy storage projects and products.
The Solar / Energy Storage Intern role will be a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend three (3) days per week working from either the Medford, MA, New York City, Chalfont, PA, Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, San Diego, CA, or Austin, TX USA offices. Further details regarding role-specific requirements and location will be covered during the interview process.What You'll Do - Working in a diverse, multi-disciplinary, collaborative team spanning the US and Canada
- Supporting solar or energy storage project developers and battery manufacturers by reviewing their products and projects
- Organizing customer provided data sets to support reporting and analysis
- Sifting through confidential technical specifications and contracts to extract meaningful insights for internal and external analysis and presentations
- Reviewing financial models of solar and energy storage projects to understand how they are financed
- Evaluating solar and energy storage product specifications and performance data for alignment with contractual requirements and industry expectations
- Assessing new solar and energy storage technologies for market viability
- Supporting production work, including, but not limited to: report writing, remote troubleshooting, and critical review
- Developing tools and processes to continuously improve quality and value of delivery

The actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. For the states of California, Washington, New York, Washington, D.C., Illinois, and Maryland only, the starting pay range for this role is $28-$31/hour.

QualificationsWhat is Required- Currently in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree program with an emphasis in a technical field such as Electrical, Power Systems, or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Mathematics/Physics, or other related degree is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
- Strong written and verbal English language communication skills
