DescriptionOverviewThe
Pallet Repair & Recycling Technician can complete minor carpentry repairs on used pallets for reservice, able to operate baler & trash compactor under the direction of the Facilities and Safety Manager. Being able to adapt to new situations and environments is a must. The work schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- Pallet Maintenance: Broken boards, damaged stringers, or other faulty components are replaced with new ones. Nails are secure or replaced, loose boards are reattached, and any other necessary fixes are performed.
- Performs routine custodial work such as: spot cleaning; removing trash in accordance with established procedures; cleaning, disinfecting facilities.
- Continuously assess and monitor the condition of the facility, including electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, flooring, and walls, and assist the maintenance team in addressing any issues that arise as needed.
- Assist with conducting routine and ad-hoc maintenance on essential warehouse equipment, such as carts, roll-up doors, dock plates, pallet jacks, and power trucks, ensuring they remain in optimal working condition.
- Regularly inspect and repair warehouse racks as needed, ensuring their structural integrity and safety. Assist with a wide range of maintenance tasks with a high degree of self-reliance and efficiency.
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety to ensure a comfortable and secure workplace for all employees.
- Skillfully operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment when required, prioritizing safety and precision in all activities.

- Minimum 3 months prior experience in maintenance, custodial or tradesmen related field. (preferred)
- Working knowledge of a variety of hand and power tools.

Physical Requirements:- Remaining in a seated position for long periods of time
- Standing is to remain on one's feet in an upright position without moving about.
- The ability to alternate between sitting and standing is present when a worker has the flexibility to choose between sitting or standing as needed when this need cannot be accommodated by schedules breaks and/or lunch period.
- Lifting and transporting items that could weigh up to 25 pounds.
- Entering text or data into a computer by means of a traditional keyboard.
- Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken work to impart oral information to clients and talent and convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately and quickly.
- The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds such as in person and telephone.
- Clarity of vision to see computer screens and workspace.
