Join our “Solutions Center of Excellence” and make a global impact This position will report to Service Delivery Head- “TPS, SCE & CC Projects.” Mission: As a Team Leader, you will focus on building the Team of Smart Application and Calculation Engineers in GECIA so as to support Customer Centers globally with common way of working, templates & processes to bring the efficiency and build smart technical proposals for the end customers in stipulated timeline. Roles and Responsibilities: To build a team of Application Engineers and Calculation Engineers in GECIA who will make technical proposals / smart solutions using Atlas Copco product Portfolio (Compressors, blowers, dryers, heat pumps, Cooling Solutions etc.), tools and knowhow. Also be able to prepare proposals with 3D layouts to make it more explanatory. To develop and coach the team to prepare smart technical solutions to the customer needs. To collaborate internally with GECIA competence teams and OFA Turnkey Solutions (TKS) and CTS Optimization teams. To make the team understand the Compressed Air system applications and be able to provide calculations, selection, and sizing of equipment correctly. You will be the first point of contact from SCE for the Sales Team in customer centers. You will work closely with OFA, IAT, AGA and CTS divisional responsible. You will estimate together with the team the feasibility of a proposal/project in all its facets and internally agree with the Business Development Managers or Sales team. In the long term, build smart automated Product Selection Tools for making Technical Proposals in short lead time. To manage and review the projects to deliver them on time with first time right approach. To keep management/stakeholders well informed on the high-level aspects of proposals. To maintain detailed proposal files and applicable records in common server and platform. To attend technical meetings at customer/consultant’s place/virtual to ensure resolution of technical queries of customer, whenever necessary. To succeed, you will need Experience requirements 8 to 12 years’ experience in Application Engineering / Proposal Engineering work from Compressor industry/rotary machinery design & manufacturing industry. Knowledge Sound knowledge and experience on Applications of Screw & centrifugal compressors, heat pumps, dryers, Air treatment etc. preferred. Able to read & understand P&ID, GA, Layouts, Installation, System architecture etc. Sound knowledge of Electrical Equipment drawings & Instrumentation & Control drawings/documents / PLCs. Good command (verbal & written) of English is a must. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office. Able to work under tight delivery timeline and plan effectively with right sense of urgency. Working knowledge of ATEX/CCOE/ASME/API/TEMA/IEC/IS/DIN. Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills in order to build and grow this team. Educational requirements BE/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation). Fluency in English and knowledge of other languages preferred. Additional diploma/degree in Business Management/Project Management will be useful. Personality requirements Proactive, positive team player with good interpersonal skills, strong in communication.
