About the Position: GPTech is seeking a Project Manager to lead a proposed opportunity providing Technical Support Services for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of the Chief Readiness Support Officer, Energy and Sustainability. The Project Manager will lead project delivery and management services to respond to a variety of tasks to be assigned by DHS, including energy data analysis, compliance with energy and sustainability regulatory reporting requirements, energy program management, and administrative support. This is a hybrid position based in GPTech’s Arlington, VA, headquarters office and is required to be in the office a minimum of two days per week. The position may involve occasional travel to support DHS. Responsibilities: Manage budgets, status reports, and recruitment of technical subject matter experts and other staff as needed. Take accountability for relevant project processes, including contractual quality assurance, control, and compliance. Prepare reports and present briefings on assigned tasks as directed by DHS, and otherwise manage client communications to ensure that client expectations are met. Engage in and potentially lead meetings with DHS stakeholders, including Program Managers and other staff from the DHS component agencies. Prepare and lead presentations and events (e.g., workshops, conferences, exhibits) as requested by the client. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of U.S. Government energy and sustainability policies and regulations. Review and approve subcontractor invoices. Monitor and manage consultant and subcontractor performance. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field 3-plus years of demonstrated experience managing contracts and/or teams similar in size, scope, and complexity to this contract 10-plus years of experience in federal energy and sustainability policy, federal energy/sustainability regulatory requirements, market analysis such as renewable energy certificates and power purchasing, federal energy/sustainability data reporting, energy conservation measures, renewable and clean energy technologies, and federal program management issues affecting these areas Eligible to work in the United States and obtain a security clearance Ability to travel up to 10 percent Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills in U.S. English Excellent organizational and document management skills Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work and liaise with mid- and high-level federal staff across different agencies Possession of Project Management Professional or similar professional certification Possession of energy or sustainability-related technical qualifications, such as Certified Energy Manager or Certified Renewable Energy Professional, as recognized by the American Association of Energy Engineers, and/or Professional Engineer license Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools, such as Tableau Experience working with databases Experience with providing technical, analytic, and business review support for energy projects or programs Knowledge of and experience working with federal organizations, federal energy policies and mandates, and energy management strategies and goals Experience in organizational leadership, management, and technical services business development Thank you for applying and for your interest in Green Powered Technology.
