Your Role Join Atlas Copco as a Commissioning Support Engineer where you will technically assist and coordinate all required resources to achieve the overall startup of compressors/equipment from commissioning conception to commercial handover. You will also provide product support and project management in the commissioning of centrifugal compressors. As part of the Technical Support Team, you will report to the Commissioning Manager and work with other Aftermarket teams including Field Service, Engineered Solutions, and Aftermarket Parts. This is a hybrid position located in Voorheesville, NY. You will perform the review of engineering calculations to help solve all compressor systems issues. You will coordinate with vendors and other departments to support field resources. You will ensure the reliability of startup manuals and participate in project debriefings. You will prepare technical responses to customer inquiries. You will assess and initiate QE/Warranty claims and assist to reduce costs. You will create corrective action reports and attend Technical Committee Meetings. You will participate in new compressor quality package approval before shipment. You will establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external customers. You will ensure customer satisfaction regarding quality and timely service. You will provide after-hours phone support to field service personnel and customers. To succeed, you will need: You hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or have at least 5 years of experience with centrifugal compressor commissioning. You can oversee a commissioning support project from inquiry to completion. Ability to occasionally travel, including national and international travel up to 5% annually.
