Emergency Response: Yes – Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE’s emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers. Job Summary Responsible for supervising, directing and coordinating the daily work activities of the tagging specialists. Accountable for the development of critical path schedules for all online and outage operations activities, including the preparation and analytics of daily work schedules to optimize equipment availability and manpower usage. Key Accountabilities Directs and coordinates the daily work activities of the tagging specialists to ensure Work Orders and tagging procedures are being followed. Supervises personnel and activities to meet established goals. Oversees the development of nuclear plant on-line and outage work control which includes ensuring compliance with the station technical specifications, licensing basis documents and fire protection requirements. Responsible for the development of dose estimates for the scheduled work in the on-line and outage schedule, identifying opportunities to improve department performance in ALARA and provide input to Operations management. Develops reports and indicators required to manage the department's dose and attends station ALARA meetings when appropriate, including monitoring and managing key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing performance deltas and the development and implementation of corrective actions. Responsible for soliciting input from members of the operating department on input to scope during the development of on-line and forced outage schedules. Responsible for monitoring department performance within the Work Control Process, including the identification of gaps, and the implementation of corrective actions. Responsible for the analysis of proposed schedules to ensure compliance with the risk management program. Minimum Education & Experience Requirements Currently hold or have previously held an RO or SRO License. 5 years of experience performing as a Licensed Nuclear Operator or in a position which required a Senior Reactor Operator license (e.g Control Room Supervisor, Operations Shift Engineer). Other Qualifications Familiar with the Nuclear Industry Work Control process. Ability to work effectively with employees at all organizational levels, communicating effectively both orally and in writing. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be able to pass all phases of In-Processing including a background investigation, psychological screening, appropriate radiation worker/respiratory training and be medically certifiable drug and alcohol screen. Must participate as an Emergency Response Organization ERO member and respond to call-ins as appropriate.
