We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Leader to drive the growth and development of our sustainability business in California within the USA. This role is crucial in establishing and expanding our market presence, building strong customer relationships, and leading strategic initiatives to achieve our commercial goals in the sustainability sector. Key Responsibilities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the sustainability market, develop and implement commercial plans to achieve revenue and market share targets, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers. Lead sales to achieve and exceed sales targets, developing sales strategies and tactics to penetrate new markets and expand existing customer accounts while monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adjust sales strategies accordingly. Focus on market expansion conducting market research to identify potential growth areas and customer segments and collaborating with marketing and product development teams to create tailored solutions for the sustainability market. Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their sustainability goals while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. Identify and establish strategic partnerships with relevant organizations and stakeholders. Negotiate and manage partnership agreements to maximize mutual benefits and leverage partnerships to enhance market reach and credibility. Requirements: 5 years of prior experience in environmental or sustainability areas (industry specific or consulting) is required. Previous experience in the food and agriculture sector is desirable. Sustainability or environmental engineer or related bachelor studies with major in the environmental or sustainability field is required; and a master’s degree or advanced studies in sustainability, environment or related fields is a desirable qualification. PMP (project management) certification or similar certifications are desirable. Desirable knowledge on other areas of expertise such as: energy efficiency, renewable energy, circular economy, resilience, social and community services expertise, among others. Advanced English and preferably Spanish. Microsoft Office package. Will be preferably located in California.
