Mission As Assistant Business Controller, you will support the Business Controller in streamlining administrative processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and mitigating risks to ensure sustainable growth. You will oversee the accounting team to ensure the accuracy and punctuality of financial reports, while directing financial management systems, budgeting, tax, and strategic planning. You will also be responsible for implementing analytical tools and key performance indicators. Roles and Responsibilities : Oversee and ensure the compliance of monthly financial reports with the company's deadlines and standards (GPS, FAM, local practices). Assist Business Controller to prepare annual budget and forecasts. Include rationale for figures and work with management to understand any changes/impacts in business. Review company processes, highlight issues and work to resolve with appropriate departments. Contribute to the supervision of accounting functions, in close collaboration with the Finance HUB, including analytical accounting, accounts payable, intercompany accounting, inventory management, and the management of fixed and intangible assets. Be responsible for preparing tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, and reports. Also coordinate outsourced tax preparation work and ensure the accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports and ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations. Manage the calculation of inventory provisions and the review of aged inventory in collaboration with operations. Ensure that the company has an effective internal control environment to protect its assets and comply with "The Way We Do Things" directives. Examine commercial processes, identify issues, and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve them. Analyze monthly activity, explain results, and understand the underlying causes of discrepancies and adjustments. Collaborate with business teams to develop commercial opportunities and improve sales and profitability. Provide ad hoc analyses of key performance indicators (KPIs) to support the commercial control of client operations. Implement ad hoc projects upon request from the controller or director of finance, including strategic and financial analysis. Support initiatives to improve financial processes and strengthen internal controls. Qualifications : Required Skills/Abilities: Demonstrates a solid understanding of financial accounting, including knowledge of accounting standards (FAM, IFRS) and information systems (MS Office, SAP, Power BI). Ability to analyze results, apply critical thinking to problem-solving, and adhere to company directives in accordance with "The Way We Do" controls. Strong computer skills, including ERP and Microsoft application usage. A strong interest in the aspects of commercial management and project management. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics, or similar academic background required (Master's degree preferred). 3 to 5 years' experience in a senior accounting or business control assistant role, with 5 years' progressive accounting/finance experience, ideally in an international environment. Experience in a sales, service, and engineering environment, with an ability to understand products, the market, and sales processes within a structured regulatory framework.
