Danfoss is looking for Lead Engineer - Design. Job Responsibilities • Lead the engineering team and technical solutions for the existing and new product development projects in Refrigeration domain. • Provide technical leadership and support for the design, development, and qualification of commercial cooling systems components and/or sub-assemblies relating to vapor compression refrigeration systems. • Development includes technical solutions of projects through product lifecycle, including: Feasibility study, designing from concept to final release to production using effective tools & software, creating functional prototypes, testing and design verification. • Develop acoustic and vibration solution integrating the experimental test (noise chamber, nozzle chamber, thermodynamic, heat transfer) and simulation (CFD, Noise & Vibration, Structural and Modal). • Integrate CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic) analysis with internal/External laboratory testing results to reach best in class solutions. • Use effective software tools to analyze results, carry out technical research, write-up analysis, and present results for new product development (Technology projects). • Responsible for aligning engineering and business objectives, within line of business unit to maintain continuous flow of sustainable, innovative, high-quality products. • Create engineering documentation or approve documentation created by others that are required to develop and manufacture high quality products such as design specifications, guidelines etc. • Support lab technicians and engineers to test components, assemblies, and products to validate the engineering specifications. • Provide Engineering proposals, calculations, data resources for line of business (LOB) and product engineering Team to support project scope and design intent definition. • Lead and execute the materialised projects according to Danfoss project development process (PDP) which involves DFMEA, Product safety & risk assessment, design for production/service etc. • Work with cross functional team to define project plan with specific milestones and deliverables. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor / master’s degree in engineering. • 10 to 12 years of experience in a similar role/field with a product development focus and technical management background (Refrigeration Systems). • Experience with Thermodynamics/Mechanical simulation tools/computational fluid dynamics. • Proficient in Engineering simulation software such as Ansys, Fluent, Vapcyc etc. • Ability to work independently and make logical decisions. • Be able to deal with a challenging environment with Matrix organization. • Applying engineering principles, developing mechanical models, interpreting test data, and model simulation. • Well versed in Refrigeration (Vapor compression) system modeling through theoretical cycles/engineering tools.
