Our Danfoss Climate Solutions segment is seeking an Electronics Engineering Manager to join our Turbocor Team in Tallahassee This role will create, develop, implement, and maintain an energetic, creative, and highly talented team which architects, designs, implements, and validates control and power electronic hardware solutions utilized in controlling and driving highly specialized compressor systems. Implement strategies with direct impact on product performance, quality, reliability, and cost. Job Responsibilities Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Manage group resources and priorities. Responsible to complete tasks on time and on cost with world-class quality. Responsible for the group budget and lab. Responsible to hire, maintain, and develop highly talented, dedicated, and creative staff at all levels within the group. Responsible to lead team to architect, design, implement, document, and validate/verify world-class electronic hardware and maintain the product lifecycle of the company electronic products. Responsible to maintain and improve the department's processes, procedures, and tools for sustainable quality, reliability, and efficiency. Responsible to implement and maintain modern version/documentation control systems and protect the company assets in a professional safe manner. Participate in department tasks, performing product design, design review, validation/verification, implementation, and documentation. Participate in cross-functional activities in projects, problem solving, and process improvement. Actively participate in customer system integrations and other direct engineering-to-engineering communications/workshops with customers. Interface and manage projects with an outsourcing partner as needed, including: Developing requirement specifications, verification test procedures, contribute to product design, provide technical support, and perform verification testing on deliverables received from partner. Continuously sustain and enhance the necessary personal and team knowledge in the field of control and power electronic systems. Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly workplace. Responsible for understanding and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and instructions to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, attainment of business goals, and environmental well-being. Maintain communication with professional societies and organizations as necessary. Required Skills Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering. A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in electronics design and development. Industrial product/solution experience in a multidisciplinary development environment. Able to contribute as a member of an organized project team of engineers. Able to apply mathematical and engineering principles to computations with various tools, including but not limited to mathematical models in engineering, finance, and quality metrics. Able to write technical documentation including specifications, design reports, work instructions, and test reports. Able to prepare project summaries for peer and executive review. Able to plan, organize, and facilitate efficient working-level and review-level meetings. Able to define problems, collect and organize data, analyze the data to develop and prove a hypothesis, and articulate results/conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form with multiple abstract and concrete variables. Knowledgeable and well-informed on new trends in Electronics development and manufacturing technology. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, mechanical design, and mechatronics integration. Knowledge and experience developing embedded software in C/C++. Knowledgeable and well-informed on new trends in embedded systems and industrial control technology. Experience working with offshore outsourcing partners.
