What you'll do at IP Corporation as an Environmental Engineer:We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Environmental Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring our manufacturing processes adhering to environmental regulations, improving sustainability practices, and developing strategies to reduce the company's environmental footprint. The Environmental Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain best practices in environmental management.
What you can expect to do in this role as an Environmental Engineer:- Develop, implement, and maintain environmental policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct environmental audits, risk assessments, and site inspections to identify potential hazards or non-compliance issues.
- Monitor air emissions, wastewater discharge, and hazardous material management to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to recommend and implement process improvements that minimize environmental impact.
- Manage the proper storage, disposal, and documentation of hazardous materials and waste streams.
- Prepare and submit environmental reports, permits, and compliance documentation as required by regulatory agencies.
- Support the development of sustainability initiatives to reduce energy consumption, water usage, and overall waste production.
- Conduct employee training programs on environmental policies and best practices.
- Investigate environmental incidents and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
What we are looking for in a Process Engineer:- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in an environmental engineering role within a manufacturing environment (experience in the chemical or coatings industry preferred).
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations such as EPA, OSHA, and state-specific standards.
- Experience in environmental permitting, hazardous waste management, and pollution control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to implement sustainable solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and environmental management software.

The annual salary range below is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include but are not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
