Primary Objective The Lifeguard works under the direct supervision of the Assistant Coordinator to provide excellent customer service while safeguarding patrons utilizing prevention measures and responding in the case of an emergency. This position will begin training in May with the Aquatics season running from June - August 30th.
Examples of Duties Essential Functions of the Position:Responsibilities:
- Report to work on time
- Enforce facility rules and regulation
- Operate appropriate safety equipment
- Administer CPR and first aid as required
- Rescue and resuscitate drowning patrons
- Basic ongoing cleaning duties throughout the day
- Treat patrons with courtesy and respect
- Attend scheduled in-services and trainings
- Other duties as assigned as arise on the job.
INCENTIVES IN 2025:Commitment Bonus- A seasonal employee who works until at least August 24th will receive
$100 bonus on their final paycheck.Referral Bonus- A seasonal employee who refers a new seasonal employee will receive
$100 bonus on their final paycheck. Referral paperwork required within one week of employees start date and both employees must be employed for the entirety of the scheduled season to be eligible. Minimum/Desirable Qualifications - Must be at least 16 years of age

- American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor
- American Red Cross Waterfront and Waterpark Lifeguard certificate
