The Global Business Development team works across the business to analyze and determine future markets and customer offerings. We research and review market trends, changes in customer preferences, and product capabilities to determine how best to meet Tesla's mission of accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy.
This role will focus on eliminating any barriers to Tesla's entrance into new markets for energy storage, ensuring precise, effective coordination between all internal stakeholders. With exposure to leadership decision-making, this role will be instrumental in managing the end-to-end market entry process, including considerations around market sizing, opportunity cost evaluation, and product-level adjustments to create an ideal customer offer.
Responsibilities - Coordinate and oversee Tesla Energy's entrance into new markets, including stakeholder communication, risk management tracking, and process improvement
- Work closely with the Product team to identify, track, and address market-specific adjustments necessary for market entry
- Manage end-to-end market entrance processes, such as project planning, execution, and closure methodologies
- Publish comprehensive updates in both written and verbal formats to keep stakeholders informed
- Analyze data to assess program performance and initiate process improvement continuously where necessary
Requirements - Strong communications, strategy, and program management skills
- Fluent in Atlassian products (Confluence, Jira, etc)
- Ability to work across multiple teams to gain input and consensus
- Ability to communicate concepts and support hypotheses with large, incomplete sets of data
- Experience presenting to internal executive teams
- Entrepreneurial mindset - a self-starter who can explore and qualify for opportunities with little direction
- Understanding of the energy industry; deep knowledge of energy storage technology and value proposition
- 4+ years in energy industry; 2+ years in energy storage

$64,000 - $210,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
