Adheres to pool policy and procedures for teaching swim lessons. Safely and effectively teaches children methods of swimming as per the American Red Cross standards. Must be at least 15 years old. Must hold valid and current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification through August 31st. Assigned work hours vary between 8:30 AM and 8:30 PM.
Note: Hiring preference is given to applicants who can work consistently throughout the season.

All offers of employment are conditioned upon successfully passing a background check and drug screening.
- Instruct various Swimming and Water Safety program curriculum levels for the American Red Cross.
- Adapt teaching approaches to the ages, experiences, and abilities of participants so they can meet course objectives.
- Communicate regularly with participants and their parents, as appropriate, to ensure they are aware of progress.
- Enforce rules governing the conduct of persons at the swimming pools.
- Complete course records and reports and perform other related work as assigned.
