Our highly successful renewable energy business has a great opportunity for an Engineer or Site Technician looking for a new challenge. The role is for a Quality Engineer and will involve being responsible for performing and recording site quality inspections and tests. These site inspections will focus on solar farms that are currently under construction covering the Midlands, Yorkshire, Essex, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and North Wales. A vehicle will be provided for this position given this is a mobile role. Key activities: Perform inspections & tests of all elements of the construction, as directed by Site Quality Leaders. Use pre-defined electronic checklists to record inspections & tests. Record snags on a project snag register. Report progress of quality checks to Site Quality Leaders. Work outside in various weather and ground conditions. Perform checks to ensure that snags have been remedied and closed. Contribute to rigorous compliance with onsite Health & Safety requirements. To fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans. To comply with the Company’s Policies, Management Plans and Procedures. To undertake such other duties appropriate to the level and character of work as may reasonably be required within the Department / Service. Skills, qualifications & experience: Reliable, hardworking and diligent, with an eye for detail. Comfortable with outdoor work. Basic computing skills. Site Quality Control experience desirable but not essential. Some knowledge of compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001. Our excellent benefits package includes: Generous holiday allowance.
