As one of the nation's largest single-source providers of lighting and electrical products, electrical services, electrical construction, and energy management solutions, we are expanding our staff and seeking an Electrical Construction Superintendent to join the Houston team. JOB DESCRIPTION As an Electrical Construction Superintendent , you will supervise field employees and direct the completion of construction projects. The ideal candidate will be able to supervise the project and complete the work on time, within budget, and with guaranteed quality. An Electrical Construction Superintendent will: Work with the Project Manager to develop a schedule for the project and establish deadlines for construction goals. Provide leadership and management to field staff to assure completion and quality of work. Understand the General Contract, each Subcontract, drawings, and specifications, and assist the Project Manager in developing on-site procedures. Coordinate and monitor subordinates, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout construction. Ensure all required permits or licenses have been obtained and safety notices are clearly posted. Ensure sufficient supplies for successful completion of work are on site, including report forms, light meter, flashlight, and other required incidentals. Cooperate with and direct inspection agencies and enact any recommended changes. Chair weekly coordination meetings and monthly safety meetings with subcontractors and report back to the Project Manager. Review and approve subcontractors' monthly requests for payment. Review and approve all time and material work vouchers and invoices. Ensure safety guidelines are met throughout the project. Qualifications JOB REQUIREMENTS The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements and qualifications: High School Diploma or General Education Degree Three to five years of experience in the Construction or Electrical field.
