Job Description NABCEP Certified Solar PV Installer P.L.O.T. Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated NABCEP Certified Solar PV Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential and/or commercial solar installations, hold NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) certification, and possess a strong commitment to safety and quality. Key Responsibilities: Perform solar PV system installations, including layout, assembly, mounting, wiring, and commissioning of solar modules, inverters, and related equipment. Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations, codes, and company standards. Conduct site assessments, including structural analysis, to determine project requirements. Perform electrical work to interconnect solar systems to the grid or other power sources. Maintain accurate documentation of project details, including system designs, inspections, and customer reports. Work with the project management team to complete installations within the specified timeline. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during installation, ensuring customer satisfaction. Adhere to OSHA and company safety standards and protocols throughout all phases of the installation. Provide guidance and training to junior installers and apprentices as required. Qualifications: NABCEP PV Installation Professional Certification (or equivalent PV certification). Proven experience in solar PV installation (2 years). Knowledge of electrical principles, NEC code, and local building codes related to solar installations. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions. Strong communication skills to effectively work with customers, team members, and project managers. Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, or related field. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
