POSITION SUMMARY: KEMRON is seeking an individual to lead project teams engaged in environmental investigation and remediation projects. The position supports project work throughout the US. The ideal candidate will have 3 -8 years of progressively responsible work history, including significant direct work experience in developing, implementing and reporting of geological and hydrogeological investigations completed in accordance with CERCLA and/or RCRA. This is an exempt full-time position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS OF POSITION: Candidates for this position must be capable of fulfilling the following in a fast-paced, consulting-services work environment: Travel and field work are required. The ability to work in the field under various conditions is required, including lifting equipment, walking over difficult terrain, and working outdoors in inclement weather. Define technical and regulatory requirements and approaches to meet state and federal regulatory requirements and meet project objectives, including permitting, planning and implementation of corrective actions. Develop technical approaches to data collection and evaluation for incorporation into Quality Assurance Project Plans. Lead multi-disciplinary project teams in the delivery of compliant and complete quality field data collection efforts. Provide strong technical writing skills sufficient to prepare complete and complex planning documents and reports. Provide data interpretation and apply data results to develop regulatory and technical solutions under RCRA/CERCLA/State voluntary programs. Communicate directly with senior project managers and clients regarding project issues, status and overall project performance. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and provide procurement support for specialized equipment and materials. Comply with all applicable health, safety and quality requirements. PG or GIT with progression to PG is preferred. NECESSARY EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrogeology or other relevant geological science discipline is required; a master's degree is desirable. Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible work history, including significant direct work experience in developing, implementing and reporting of geological and hydrogeological investigations completed in accordance with CERCLA and/or RCRA. Drilling, well installation, soil and groundwater sampling experience is required. Well-developed organizational, communication, and analytical skills are required. Other skills and consulting experience may also be advantageous, including data management expertise and oversight/participation in field data collection activities. Computer proficiency (including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Strong technical writing skills. Demonstrated verbal communication and technical presentation skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with the ability/desire to lead tasks. Strong attention to detail. Willingness to work more than 8 hours per day when necessary for project success. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must pass drug test, possible background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy. Must have a valid, current Driver's License. OSHA 40-hour certification and current 8-hour refresher. WORK CONTEXT/PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS: Field activities may require working in inclement weather conditions for an extended period. Field activities may require working in Level B Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Ability to stoop, kneel, climb, traverse uneven land surfaces and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Working in a standing position for most of the field workday (with breaks). Ability to drive large pick-up trucks. Ability to use hands and fingers to operate field equipment. Close, distance, and peripheral vision; normal auditory function. Must complete and pass a medical monitoring physical exam demonstrating ability to meet job requirements, including the ability to wear a respirator, as required. Completion of annual employment physical, as required. Ability to read, interpret and apply information on State and Federal technical guidance, and regulations, and compliance determinations. Must be able to read, understand and follow KEMRON SOPs, procedures and policies. Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods of time on occasion. KEMRON Environmental Services, Inc.
