About the Position We are seeking a Director of Structural Engineering to join our growing Energy team. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience in structural engineering leadership. This role will focus on developing engineering processes and mentoring a team of engineers while overseeing multidisciplinary projects. You'll collaborate with clients, assist with proposal development, and ensure project success. Key Responsibilities: Lead the structural engineering discipline, maintaining design standards and specifications. Manage team utilization goals and ensure projects stay within budget and schedule. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective designs. Support HR in team management decisions, including hiring and performance. Assist Marketing in preparing proposals and presentations for prospective clients. Oversee multiple structural engineering projects, ensuring quality and efficiency. Provide mentorship and lead training programs to enhance team skills. Foster a collaborative team environment and maintain positive client relationships. Stay current with industry trends and best practices. Qualifications: BS in Structural Engineering or related field (Advanced degree preferred). PE or P.Eng certification required. 10 years of leadership experience in structural engineering. Experience in power, renewable energy, oil & gas, or fuels is preferred. Proven ability in project management and successful project delivery. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D. Strong teamwork, multitasking, and communication skills. Additional Information Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge and experience. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Director of Structural Engineering with a salary range of $137,500.00 - $225,900.00. Additional cash incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial and/or other benefits dependent on position offered.
