ASE is seeking a Master Training Advisor with extensive experience in learning science, educational instruction, and content development for the Department of Defense (DoD). This role will be responsible for providing high-level authoritative, analytic leadership, and consultation executive-level expertise relating to adult education processes and methods. Serve as a catalyst for developing and evaluating new ideas and content within distributed learning, fostering innovation and continuous improvement. Apply learning science principles to develop clear requirements and instructional outcomes that enhance learning effectiveness and engagement. Provide executive-level consultation to Government leadership on the integration and implementation of distributed learning strategies. Interface with civilian and military academic environments and PhD-level educators to advance educational initiatives. Integrate technical and distributed educational capabilities into educational processes, ensuring alignment with instructional goals and technological advancements. Identify and understand emerging educational and technical capabilities, methods, and processes for potential inclusion or evolution within existing distributed educational frameworks. Use learning science to inform longitudinal curriculum designs that leverage multiple learning technologies and support tailored learning pathways. Capture or extract end user requirements while leveraging project team members, existing documentation, customers, and end users. Evaluate designs and applications against UI/UX best practices to enhance user engagement and learning experiences. Design assessment strategies and interventions tailored to instructional contexts, ensuring alignment with desired instructional outcomes. Qualifications Secret Clearance. Master’s, Ph.D. or military War College graduate degree with 20 years’ experience related to military education and training. Extensive experience in related areas such as learning science, educational instruction, educational program of instruction development. Proven leadership experience, especially in a senior advisory role. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with executive-level Government personnel (e.g., senior leaders, instructors, learners). Ability to ‘own’ and proactively drive work. Acute attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal abilities. Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance. Desired Qualifications: TS Clearance with SCI Eligibility Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data. Familiarity with SCORM, cmi5, HTML5, and Learning Management Systems (LMS). Strong Military experience/familiarity. Advanced-level proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with distributed learning technologies, such as e-learning, mobile learning, e-books, learning management systems, and course authoring tools. Familiarity with learning analytics and using learning data to inform instructional interventions or decisions. Familiarity with experimental design, as related to testing training and education. Ability to create engaging and effective learning experiences. Ability to synthesize distributed learning best practices and new tools, technologies, and infrastructures to enable effective learning.
